National Women Build Week 2018
​​May 5th - 13th

Habitat for Humanity International’s National Women Build Week is a weeklong event created by its Women Build program that invites women to devote at least one day to help families build strength, stability and independence through housing. The week is meant to spotlight the homeownership challenges faced by women. This year National Women Build week runs May 5th - May 13th - with the major build day taking place on Thursday, May 10th.  
Join South County Habitat for Humanity on Thursday, May 10th for an empowering day of home building at our newest construction site in Exeter, Rhode Island! This property will be a duplex that two hard-working low-income families will get to call home. 

No construction skills are necessary, we welcome you whether you have years of experience or have never swung a hammer!  Our staff will provide all training, materials, safety equipment and supervision during your build day.

- 8:30 - Introduction  
- 9:00 - Project & safety orientation
- 9:15 - Work on site with Habitat staff
- 12:00 - Break for lunch (provided) and guest speaker
- 1:00 - Work on site with Habitat staff
- 2:30 - Debrief and close

- Work alongside a group of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers
- First 50 participants receive t-shirt and nail apron
- Onsite training, site supervision, tools and materials provided
- Lunch will be provided
- Local prominent figure guest speaker during lunch
